JGBM Dealer Dealer Exhibition & 'ClickCat' Preview
Dave Fortune, Sales Director at JGBM, introduces ClickCat, the company's new Dealer Branded Website service to over 200 strong audience of dealers and manufacturers. The morning continued with presentations from Matt Clark of Samsung on the printer and multifunctional market, Ben Ford from Olympus on the digital dictation revolution, Ian Aitken from Sanyo on the projector market and Chris Hinds from Brother on the new WEEE legislation.
Following the morning programme, there was a comprehensive Dealer Exhibition including 20 Manufacturers covering a wide range of machines products.
ClickCat - January 2004
ClickCat has already been previewed by key dealers in the market and reaction has been very positive. Allan Crump at Alpha Office, one of the industry's leaders in the field of e-commerce, comments: "JGBM has a terrific trade website with great features and a lot of useful information. Transferring this for dealers' own use is a masterstroke."
Alpha plans to use ClickCat in two ways - as an external store on its web site and also by importing the data into its online procurement solutions.
Allan Crump continues: "This gives us the ability to have our own machine store that is individually and uniquely consumer priced and is updated daily with current models. It would be too resource hungry to keep track of changes in models and pricing ourselves and having a supplier to do this for us guarantees our loyalty."

JGBM signs up ClickCat dealers
JG Business Machines Ltd says there was a strong response to its new ClickCat white label web site service at this week's Meet the Manufacturers Exhibition in Coventry, with a number of registrations on the day and a number of dealers signing up for the email presentation currently being sent out.
ClickCat is a website front end that allows dealers to tap into JG's own infrastructure and present the information they need to their customers within a front end store. Managing director John George says: “The exhibition could not have gone better. There was a lot of interest in ClickCat, particularly once you explain that the system is live and dealers don't actually have to do anything to make it work.”
The exhibition was also used to gauge feedback on the new service which will be available to customers in April. Version 2, available later this year, will include an e-marketing facility.

JGBM exhibition attracts 200 registrations
Two hundred dealers have registered for JG Business Machines `Meet the Manufacturers' exhibition and seminar, which takes place on 10 February at Coventry City Football Club. Seventeen manufacturers are exhibiting at the event and there is a seminar programme covering the fax, printer, digital dictation and audio-visual markets, in addition to an update on the WEEE Directive and its impact on the channel.
This year's exhibition has attracted record numbers of pre-registrations, with much interest in JGBM's new plain label website service `ClickCat' that is being unveiled at the event. This is an online resource that allows dealers to tap into JGBM's data infrastructure and present up-to-date machines information within a front end store, including personalised company details and pricing. It is available in a range of options so that it can integrate with existing technology or be used as a standalone site for dealers without expertise in online selling.
Managing director John George comments: "We are very pleased with the level of interest in this year's exhibition and look forward to meeting our customers on the day. This event is an integral part of our support package to provide dealers with the information they require to build their machines sales. Our new ClickCat service extends this package further and we believe it offers exciting sales opportunities for all dealers, regardless of company size and infrastructure."
